Power of Attorney Cost in Dubai: Build the Quote in Four Parts

There is no honest single Dubai POA price. A usable quote separates the preparation fee, authority fee, translation or attestation and the underlying transaction.

The cost of a power of attorney in Dubai is not one number. A complete quote may include the professional fee for preparing the instrument, the court or notary’s fee, translation or cross-border authentication, and charges belonging to the transaction itself.

Combining those figures under “POA cost” makes comparisons look simple but hides who charges what. Use four separate columns instead.

What are the four parts of a Dubai POA quote?

Cost componentWho charges it?What it covers
Document preparationThe Deedbox or another providerInstructions, drafting, revisions and coordination
Ratification or notarisationThe competent court or notaryThe authority’s execution or ratification step
Translation and cross-border stepsTranslator, foreign ministry, mission, MOFA or courierOnly where the route requires them
Transaction chargesDLD, RTA, bank, court or another receiverThe property, vehicle, banking or other service itself

The last row is frequently mistaken for a POA fee. For example, an RTA vehicle ownership-transfer charge belongs to the vehicle transaction, not to drafting or notarising the power of attorney.

What does The Deedbox charge to prepare a POA?

Current published professional fees include:

  • Vehicle POA: AED 790
  • General POA: AED 990
  • Property POA: AED 1,290
  • Business POA: AED 1,490
  • Litigation POA: AED 1,590

These are preparation and coordination fees. Government, court, registry, notary, translation, attestation and courier charges are separate unless a written quote expressly includes them.

What does Dubai Courts publish for POA ratification?

Dubai Courts’ Power of Attorneys Ratification service publishes AED 100 for each party to the power of attorney, plus AED 20 in Knowledge and Innovation fees. The number of parties therefore matters.

The same page also distinguishes between online and personal routes through its conditions. A quoted court fee does not establish that a particular customer qualifies for online completion.

Is the federal Digital Power of Attorney also AED 100?

The UAE Ministry of Justice currently publishes a service fee of AED 100 for its contracts-and-deeds service, which includes a Digital Power of Attorney option using UAE Pass and system templates.

That is a separate federal service, not a universal UAE POA tariff. The available template, identity route and receiving authority still have to match the case.

When do translation and attestation add cost?

Translation may be required because of the court, notary or department receiving the document. Dubai Courts states that a non-Arabic document needs legal translation certified by the UAE Ministry of Justice.

Cross-border cases may add home-country notarisation, foreign-ministry authentication, UAE mission attestation, UAE MOFA processing and courier charges. Those stages depend on the country and document. UAE MOFA does not publish one universal attestation price on its main service page; its application determines the route and applicable amount.

Three example cost structures

These examples show how to structure a quote; they are not promised totals.

A Dubai vehicle POA

  1. Vehicle POA preparation fee.
  2. The applicable court or notary fee.
  3. Translation, if required by the route.
  4. RTA ownership-transfer charges when the vehicle transaction happens.

A Dubai property POA for an owner abroad

  1. Property POA preparation fee.
  2. The execution route: eligible UAE digital route or overseas signing chain.
  3. Translation and authentication required by that route.
  4. DLD or trustee charges for the actual property transaction.

A company POA with several principals

  1. Business POA preparation fee.
  2. Authority fee calculated under the chosen route, including any per-party element.
  3. Corporate evidence or translation required for the company documents.
  4. Charges for the underlying licence, bank or corporate transaction.

Why can two Dubai POA quotes differ?

First check whether they cover the same document, number of parties, authority, translation direction and transaction. Then ask each provider to identify:

  • its own professional fee;
  • the authority fee and official source;
  • what is excluded;
  • whether revisions are included;
  • whether the quote assumes UAE Pass or personal attendance; and
  • how long the quote remains valid.

The UAE Will and POA fees guide keeps provider prices separate from official charges and records the date each authority figure was checked.

Can anyone guarantee the final total immediately?

Not responsibly without knowing the transaction, parties, signing location and receiving authority. A useful first quote can show a preparation fee, but the final written breakdown should follow route confirmation.

The Deedbox confirms the known route and separates its fee from external charges before payment. Authority fees can change, and the authority’s current page controls.

The Deedbox is a legal-document service. It is not a notary office and not a law firm. We prepare documents and coordinate notarisation, registration, attestation and legalisation through the appropriate licensed parties and authorities. Will registration is performed by the relevant authority — the DIFC Courts Wills Service, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, Dubai Courts or the Notary Public; we prepare and coordinate, we do not register. Preparing or paying for a document does not mean it has been notarised, registered or accepted by any authority — those are separate steps, and we show you exactly where your case stands at each one. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
